Imagine do/don't for the vinyl

So I messed up 2 sheets of Imagine vinyl..  Wanna know the answer to this...
READ THE DIRECTIONS  UGH!!!
See the letter C   this is the sticky on the mat - stuck to the mat...  UGH!
my mat..my poor mat   when the vinyl made for the Imagine placed not correctly on the Imagine Mat - it sticks really bad!! and is harder than anything to get off.  My first impression was..  NOT EVER AGAIN!!  what a mess and time consuming to get the vinyl off. LOOK AT THE MESS IT CREATED.  err.. okay... I created.....

SO.. the answer to this problem is... READ DIRECTIONS and place the paper side DOWN on the sticky mat....  NEVER will this happen again. as you will see when on 9th Jan you will see what I made during Erica's craft Room 100 cartridge Blog Hop!!

I'm sharing this just in case you are going to try this!  The Imagine Vinyl is made for the Imagine machine and it comes off like a sticker.. cool huh!  okay... off to clean my mat   (sigh...)

my son is so creative.. look at his robot..

Jayden my 7 yr old loves to go down to my craft room and get into everything.  being Autistic allows him to go slow and think about wht he wants to do... between my cuttlebug and my paper and lots of scotch tape with A LOT of imagination.. this is his Robot.  YOU can see mine when we have the 100 cartridge blog hop the 7/8th Jan ...

I just love his creativity :)

Imagine users.. look what I discovered...

PUSH the cartridge handbook under the corner of the Imagine on either side that you are comfortable with,,  LIKE as shown

stand the front part of the cover up - it leans on the cartridge installed!

LARGER VIEW  while you are creating!
WITH THIS IDEA... and who knows someone may have thought of this already.. but for me - it was an accident as I was trying to look at the booklet to change colors, etc...

what do you think??  do you have any tricks??  let me know.

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

Merry Christmas!  Today I celebrate the BIRTH of Jesus!  What a blessing his birth has given to me.  Today, I wanted little to no frills, just a plain view of what Jesus and his birth represented.  I hope that I display that for you today.  My inspiration for today's Home decor as I was singing and Worshiping in church this past Sunday, this song just stood out at me as I stared at the words and thought THIS WAS PERFECT!

Creating these awesome Home Decor was using the cartridges; Inspired heart cutting out the Nativity Scene at 8.85in H.  The Star was created using the cartridge; Christmas cut out at 16.41in H.    More directions, info along the pics below.  The back board is a piece of thin cardboard bought at Hobby lobby, I covered it with Silver paper using 3in strips. (it only took 2 strips).  I inked around the edges using silver ink pad.

Printed via my computer I typed only a few verses that pertained to the "light". 3 verses total.  Printed on white cardstock that was first inked all over using the gold ink pad then printed. Tore around the edges and re-inked using the gold inkpad.  Wanted the "old' effect.

oops on the side view.  I used the Christmas cartridge as this was a suggestion from another blogger and it was awesome.  I used the contour hide feature to hide the Christmas tree as I only just wanted the star.  Using the Icicle Stickles - I coated the top layer of the star and used pop dots (2 levels high) to give it depth off the board.

here is the partial song to The First Noel.

side view of the star before it was stickled...

wanting a simple yet not frilly look to the wonderful event, I used gold and silver poinsettas from the company Prima Flowers called Holiday Metal. So pretty aren't they.

Wishing you and your family a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Please remember to hop back to Erica and make comments on everyone's blog!

NOW onto my Santa project

He's checking your list..
gonna make sure whose naughty and nice......

Can you believe tomorrow is Christmas!  So today's card is based on Santa..   Give it up for Santa!!

**I JUST LOVE my Cricut Imagine and the new Imagine cartridge of November Santa's Village.  Santa is cut out at 3.5in as well as the Merry Christmas paper background cut at 6in and then trimmed to fit.  This shape is found within the shapes in the Imagine machine.
(don't throw the pieces trimmed - they make awesome borders on other projects)
**The larger frame that is embossed is cut at 2in and the smaller at 1.5in.
**The background paper on the base is from the Christmas Stack from DCWV pack.
** the 2 fibers green and red are from an awesome set from Making Memories Funky with Fibers.

see the embossing behind the Dear Santa..  It is embossed using the PC countdown to Christmas.  DEAR SANTA is stamped with Ctmh D1383 Santa's List and ink pad cranberry ink pad.

Please make sure you head back over to mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com  and be  more inspired from fellow Seasonal DT members!   Please leave a comment as these always make my day!!

MUG and vinyl - so easy!

Myhubby bought this cute mug for work but wanted his name on here.  So so so so simple I created his name VERNON with the Superman cricut cartridge font.  created at 1.5 in and at a length of 5.5 inch - it fit perfectly!!
Vinyl was bought at cricut.com

Hope you like this simple easy project but so cool to personalize!!  We will be doing more of these as I am giving each of my grandkids a solid mug and they can help me do their own designs of what they want~

Blast Off birthday card using the Imagine

I just love using my cricut Imagine!!  This awesome card and box was totally made using the Blast  Off Imagine cartridge.  I changed the color a little but nothing major.  I created the card as a base and just folded to make a card.    I inked around the edge of the card using red ink from Ctmh.   I wrote the 'hope your birthday's a blast!"  I need to invest in more stamp sets of words for boys birthdays!!
WOULD you believe I had all the measurements and they got put "somewhere"  been looking for them and just can't find them - so I am sorry for the lack of not giving info to you properly.
This box was created with all the color as seen in the Cricut Imagine Blast off.  I love this box!!  I used red twine to hold the box together.  I was surprised it didn't fully close but served the purpose of money and goodies with some tissue paper and extra careful time carrying it!  I believe the box was cut at like 9in but by the time you fold it - it becomes much smaller.

I love coffee, tea and hot cocoa - so what to make..  hmmm,,   Well today I made hot cocoa since my 7yr old loves it more :) I was thinking..  I can do this.... what do I think of when drinking.. sipping on a hot drink...   music; so hence the background for this yummy card!   enjoy!
 ...
Cricut Imagine; Imagine More on page 38 is the card  & the side border is on page 26 the one with music notes. (I separated them out and changed the color.  As you see the music notes is now the background paper music. The green frame is created using the install images on the Imagine and I just colored it green.       The coffee mugs are from Christmas Cheer and cut out at 2.5in.  using the paper colors from the Imagine More cartridge. The ribbon is a wire ribbon that was left over from a stash I have..  it's silver and was just perfect!!

MMMM....snow, music in the background and a good cup of hot cocoa with marshmallows. PERFECT!   I used the snow marker from Uchida and heat set.      the green paper is from the Imagine;  Imagine More

I was looking for a fun quote or even part of a song regarding cocoa and Christmas - nothing.. nada.. zip  so I went with something simple yet perfect since the font matched the paper.   Stamp set is from CTMH:    and stamped in chocolate ink from ctmh.
Please go on back to Erica's blog and check out the other cards.. Please leave a comment on all blogs!  Merry Christmas and have yourself some hot cocoa with marshmallows  YUMMY!!

didn't think was going to be as hard as it was..  trying to pick an elf was even harder :)  So here today is my Home Decor.. Elf style.

I first took cardboard and cut out the letters J, O, Y at 11.29h & 11.06w (don't they sound like HUGE letters) from the cartridge Tis the Season from CM and at the same time using my Imagine, I had printed the "paper" on there using the Santa's village.  (I so love my imagine!!)     my lil Elf was created using the RGB. 255  -220 - 177 for the elf body with my favorite cartridge; Jolly Holidays.  his clothes were printed again using the Santa's village.  I love the way imagine cuts the fine details!   For the ball on his elf hat is using the Snow marker and then heat embossing it.
Peachy Keen Face pk 943 (funshine face parts) was used on this cute elf -
The Stampin Up twill tape  the widest width is 1 1/2" and perfect for a hanging like this.

shiny shoes, cuffs and hat is a compliment of glossy essentials.

a small piece of ribbon with words is sitting perfectly on this letter.

See that... #1 Elf   - I'm convinced Elfee wrote this!

Elves rule.. Who wrote that????  LOL   perhaps Elfee our elf did..

So here we are BAKING and mmm.. I made cupcakes today with a very special birthday in mind... JESUS!!  I hope you like..  We are having the women of the church get together and this is my "snack"...

Creating HB JESUS is using the cartridge Base Camp and the Imagine cartridge Santa Village to change the colors of the letters.   baby Jesus and the saying "Wisemen still adore him" was created using the Winter Frolic cartridge.  New Testament cartridge was used to make the bible verse Luke 2:11.   (more details will be under pictures)

baby Jesus was created with the Winter frolic and the hay and manger using the Imagine cartridge Snapshot Nature on the Imagine machine.

I also drew his eyes and mouth with a marker, much easier than the cut outs!   RGB code R: 255 G 220 B 177 was created for Baby Jesus face, body and the background
