Today I am creating the universal sign for I LOVE YOU!  I have taught my children this when they were young and am now teaching my grandkids!   It's important to know wherever you are - you can flip this lil sign up and know you are telling your kids many things...  you can do it...  I love you.... hang in there...

so here goes!  A Child's Year Cricut cartridge and #37 on the overlay under CARD feature.   After the hand is cut out , I bet the 2 middle fingers back as far back as the "knuckle" area.  this would then give the appearance of the Sign Language of I LOVE YOU!

a lil red nail polish courtesy of a red smooch (exact color name torn off) and then a lil bling on her thumb nail.  I Love You sentiment from Ctmh  D1345 Ms. Sweetheart.  Inked softly around hand to give a lil pop of color using parchment ink pad from ctmh.  INSIDE says.. JUST BECAUSE....
copper and silver ribbon twine from Ctmh wrapped around her finger with a lil bling bling "diamond" on top.
I hope you like my shaped card for today.  Please leave me a comment, as I love to read them!

Please head on over to TINA's BLOG to see what fun shape card she brings to you today!

CREATING WITH THE LETTER A

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!  I am SO SO EXCITED to be a part of this fabulous Design Team of Erica's cricut Craft Room at  http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com   as this is my very first posting!

Every Monday I will be featuring a cartridge that starts with that letter.. so make sure to come back next Monday and see the cartridge starting with B!  As well as many other projects throughout the month...

Today, I am creating with the LETTER A..  I chose A Child's Year and Imagine Ancestry.

I chose the girl and man which here will be my granddaughter and her papa.   Cutting out at 5in this is such a cute silhouette.  The words Me & Papa is cut out 1.2in  and the background paper is created using the imagine Ancestry paper.  I love it!  it was cut out at 6.5inches to cover the base of the pre-made plain card.
I added a lil rhinestone butterfly as my granddaughter loves to wear things in her hair.

SORRY there are no other pics as I went along - I was so involved back and forth with so many things that I forgot to take pics.
The "&"is white chipboard from MM (I believe.  I inked it with black ink and then wiped a lot off of it..  Not the total look I was going for but it looks pretty cool.  (I hope)

http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com  Please click here to see more projects from my fellow Design Team Sisters!!  Please leave a comment .. they are surely appreciated :)  and If you would, please sign up for my e-mails and leave me your blog so I too can follow you.

1st Dec 2011 - 25 days of Christmas - Christmas Theme

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room
25 Days of Christmas,
with 25 Cricut projects a day.
Don't forget to stop by Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today....
and every day in December.

Doris used A Child's Year - Joys of the Season - Wrap it Up and Holiday Cakes Cricut Cartridges to create this Home Decor!

I love Christmas and the possibilities of creating something new and different and to either keep it or give it as a present.  My vase will be a present before Christmas for my daughter. My project today is making Home decor.  How did I come up with this, you ask, We were in the general dollar store recently looking at the decorations and this had a vase with a few Christmas bulbs in it. (I think someone opened a pkg and dumped some in there) - a lighbulb went off...

Inside the vase is silver and gold bells and red shiny bulbs along with cut strands of silver & gold ribbon.

BELIEVE is cut using A Child's Year at a total of 5.29 in Height and 1in in width.  Joys of the Season is from Wrap It Up cartridge cut at 3.24 in both in H & W.    Holiday Cakes cartridge was cut for the snowflakes - cut at 3.94 h & 4.87w.   This has a cluster of snowflakes which are simple yet awesome!

The vase, bells, and bulbs are all from the Dollar General.  Twine gold and silver are from Stampin' Up!  The

Using ICICLE from Stickles added a lot of UMPH to the snowflakes and to the vase and around the rim of the vase as well!  What do you think??

A plain vase with gold & silver bells and red bulbs from the dollar general store was dumped into this pretty plain vase.. BUT not for long...

jumped ahead a little... this is the end of the making...  I used stickles to enhance the white Vinyl words.  See the gold & silver ribbon inside the vase.  The snowflakes shiimer with the stickles too.

plain ol joys of the season, but not for long as they get a little bling of stickles too!  The bells off of the word is stckled too!  A brad makes it a 3d pretty look onto the ribbon.

I love this look and might use this for my blog hop in Jan. (picture it perfect)  Need a better photo shoot though :)

all done-  I hope you like it and have enjoyed the pictures I have taken :)

Guess what I am making... (trick question) LOL

So excited to share what I am making BUT I am just showing you some of the project on my Gypsy.  I am using Vinyl from oh My Crafts - red, green and black.  Car Decals (cross), Going Places (arrow) & A Child's Year (fonts) are the cartridges used.   Car decals for the Cross I used the hide feature to bring it to one cross.  I will show you again when I am done putting them up on the wall..  DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHERE THIS IS GOING??  OR THE PURPOSE OF IT????

backboard for cupcakes.... and later accessory for baby room

sorry so big - but I wanted you to see how cute this board is.  All i used was a board that you buy in a cake store or even wal-mart to put cakes on..  I painted it with making memories blue scrapbook paint.  I also used the New Arrival Cricut cartridge & Paisley cricut cartridge. CTMH stamp sets: D1062 Zoo Friends & D1285 Life's A Life's a Jungle stamp set.  Letters in the words are from A Child's Year cricut cartidge.      I sealed it all in using Modge Podge.  Of course I have no picture of the cupcakes on here.. but they were yummy.   Momma to be will put this on his dressar to hold all of his goodies he got.
