25 June - CCR style...

                    CRICUT CRAFT ROOM EXCLUSIVES
                                  is the theme for today

So excited to have you visiting me today, If you  happened to just drop by here - thank you :)  - BUT...  (always a but...) I would love it if you hopped over to Erica's Cricut craft room  at mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com and start there to see my fellow DT friends and their creativity AND to hop by Erica's on-line store mentioned below..

OMG - as I am preparing this post -  it hit me - I AM 50 today!!!  OMG!!

I used the exclusive;  Cricut Font & Basic Shapes #37 on the overlay (in the CCR) Under the Funky Shapes Tab.    I looked at these shapes and wanted to make one of each...   so head on over to the cricut craft Room and try this font and funky shapes.   I cut the funky shapes out at 2x2

I embossed with the following folders you see.  I then inked them over with chalk ink and with  Dew Drop Versa Magic Multi- Surface Chalk Ink by Tsukineko; colors used today are Egg Plant and the other color is Hint Of Pesto.  These Versa Magic's were from Erica's store at  http://www.shop.ericascraftroom.com/

If you notice the card a little plain - It is.. on purpose..  I just didn't get "that feeling" of anything else needed to be added...     what do you think??

I cut these out  - plain card-stock

these are the embossing folders I used

So what do you think?  Let me know.

Please head back to Erica's Cricut Craft Room  to see my fellow Design team sisters in their creativity for today's Cricut craft Room exclusive creativity or the letter Z over at mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com

17 May -THEME cartridge... KATE's ABC's - name tag

I hope you have come from Erica's blog first but IF not, please head back over there at mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com and follow my Design team Sisters in their creativity for either their theme cartridge or today's other choice of Wedding.. something New.
    Erica has decided today, we could pick our own THEME cartridge for today...  decisions.. decisions.. so many good ones to pick.. So I have chosen;
Kate's ABC's
I made Name badges for a church women's brunch that we had for Mother's Day called Blossoms & Bonnets.

Cutting out at 2 inches from this adorable bonnet.  On the ribbon part I used so many colors from either Stickles or Liquid pearls. to coordinate with the color of the hat.

The top part of the brim of the hat I embossed using so many of the Paper lace 2 and other flowery   embossing plates. I then lightly colored with a coordinating color.

I used a flower from Prima Flowers and then dotted  in the middle a coordinating color from stickles or Liquid Pearls.

Magnets are on the back so that they could wear them after they put their name on them.

I made 52 bonnets in all - so many colors and after a while I got a little crazy with colors!  it was FUN!!  here in this pic they were drying!

IN PIECES...

It just goes to show the versatility of these awesome cartridges in the many uses they can provide for your creativity!!

Please head back here at...  mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com to be more inspired by my DT sisters!

Die - cut Spring/Easter

I am/was  (by the time you see this) in a swap with my design team at mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com and this is what I created with the instructions:

4in diecut using the colors - apple, blueberry and grape  (AKA... shades of red, blue, & purple) and to be spring/Easter.

using the cartridge: April Showers and # 28 & 38 on the overlay.  I left the little circle cut out on the flower by using my gypsy and hiding features to create different colors.

BLUE: I cut the base out (entire image on #28) 2 times and then cutting off the flower and leaf to leave only the base flower pot which allowed me to make it blue.   and then inked around the edges using dutch blue ctmh ink pad.

I used cuttlebug (the long thin embossing; 7in in length plate) and used it on the top and bottom of the flower pot and then slightly sanding the embossed area.

PURPLE: Using my favorite faces Peachy Keen  Stamps - I used the face from the PKSC-03 March 2012 set that featured the Gnomes. (you can see this set at http://www.peachykeenstamps.com/  under Peachy keen Clubs on the left side of their store site)  right in the middle (or so slightly) of this cute flower.  I used warm red color box chalk inkpad with the tip of my finger to slightly give a little 'blush" to her cheeks.

Using Stickles lavender - I enhanced around the flower face.

Color Box chalk inkpad colors Lime Pastel and another green (sorry lid lost) to enhance and bring the leaf a little to life :)

RED: The Red top of the flower pot has been distressed using the ctmh block distressor.   inked around the edges using Cranberry ink pad from ctmh

I hope that you like this cute lil diecut that can be enhanced on a LO or a card!

First I share with you WORD COLLAGE:
In my laundry room on the wall I have this cute lil sign I created using Red Vinyl and created on my Gypsy and expression.  CUT OUT AT 11.28w X 10.76h.   I have more to add to this BUT am awaiting another cartridge to arrive to complete...

PRINCESS PARTY EVENT cartridge:  I wanted a spin on an event cartridge as in using it mainly for party planning - Here I used it for Home decor in my granddaughters room that they have in our home.

Using the Imagine Vinyl  - I used the blade and cuts at regular speeds and it cut so much nicer to work with. (only do this with the IMAGINE VINYL).
Cut at  5.4in   I hung it on the wall and added a large clear heart rhinestone with glossy essentials.  to show that you can spice up your wall art as well.

I love this font...  actually this word..     Cut out at 6.5 in.

different rhinestones and that adding Stickles to the different areas that are open and around the heart added a little extra Sparkle to this awesome crown.

adding a new product I received from my friend Erica at My Cricut Craft room and so loving these are: LIQUID PEARLS colors: white opal & petal pink    I added to the points of the crown  and then used stickles to the rest of the crown.
here to the flowers I used white opal in middle and petal pink for flower

YES, I know it looks crooked as I see it in the picture BUT I had to wait till everything is dry before moving it around ..again.....     the princesses represent my 3 granddaughters.....  literally I have a redhead age 8, brown hair age 10 and the last princess looks like my youngest grand baby girl who is 3...  I bought these at the Dollar store where everything is 1$
Both  of these images are on 2 separate walls in the room..

ROBOT PARTY event cartridge:
creating a card using a little twist  of cutting the same image out 2x at different sizes.  (keep the cuts not used for another project or a 2nd smaller card).  cut on the Imagine.
1.5 sentiment happy Birthday
4.5 frame (smaller inside frame)
5.5 (outside frame)
cuttlebug folder from Robotz and inked over with the orange ink pad
Imagine cartridge for the color of the paper is: Blast Off

outlined using a black marker around the tools.
Please head over to Janet's blog for more creativity!!

I hope you will leave a comment - I read them all :)  If you take my blinkie to your blog and/or sign up for my e-mails - please let me know and then i will make sure that I take yours to mine as well and sign up too.

   HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!

This was so much fun to make:  I had the colors and just went about with no plan in mind...  What is awesome about this card - it could be for a wedding - valentines day  - anniversary  -or just a I love you - just change the colors.

** Smooches: sassy pink, cape cod, molasses
** Cuttlebug embossing folder:  (OMG.. I cannot remember the name of this.. BUT It looks exactly as you see)
** ctmh pink and brown paper and ivory that was embossed on, Chocolate ink pad- distressing around edges
** sentiment: PEACHY KEEN stamp JAN 12 stamp set from Club
 ** ribbon - stash

I used the different smooches to paint the embossed  raised part.  AFTER I was all done - I took sandpaper and lightly distressed over it.   I hope you like my card. I actually made this for someone who wanted these colors in a card :)

NOW onto our scheduled Blog hop....
MY cartridges today being featured are:  CAR DECALS - FATHERS DAY and BATMAN

                                      CAR DECALS
I was asked to make a card with feet for the toes.. (um okay..)  for a lady who is getting a pedicure from her friends for her birthday!  hmmm. so as i was looking for this blog hop and... - WHALAA.. there is feet on my featured cartridge..   CAR DECALS!  So here goes.
-SMOOCHES - various colors!  I used 12 colors. I know 10 toes...  white on the tip of toe and red on the card itself.
- TOES cut at 5.5 inches on the Imagine and then using the RGB code of  255 220 177 for the feet color.

- I typed the sentiment on my computer. There needs to be more pedi-mani word stamps! lol   SEE all the spots on there - it's to represent all the nail-polish we brush off first before our toes gets it..

- stamp set is from Inkadinkado - Stamp It, Girlfriend.  I used the nailpolish bottle and stamped randomly on the card base with the black stazon ink pad.  then using the SMOOCHES - I just pained in the middle of the bottle.

- inked around the edges is ctmh ink pad bubblegum

- Peachy Keen Stamp set PRINCESS faces 1 1/8th PK 641 and high-lighted with extra color from ctmh watercolor pencils.  I saw after I was looking - I forgot her blush  -so I went back and highlighted her pretty cheeks.
I have got to say   -It looks MUCH cuter in person!

FATHER'S DAY CARTRIDGE
my hubby wanted this made to the size you see..  I wanted to go bigger but nope - this is exactly what he wanted and where it is!!
Using Fathers Day and cutting out at 5in & Using the Imagine for the built in colors just makes me so very happy!  wanted to use vinyl but as he says  -it's my project and I want paper. (okay then..)

on HIS door.. to HIS room..
Using the pre-selected colors in the Imagine - this made this card an easy quick card. ALL cuts in the Fathers Day cartridge.  Is this not a cool recliner cut out at 3in. I love the remote control whcih is cut at 1.5  (word of wisdom.. the larger the remote control the better). the Remote control up on 3d dots to give a little depth.  DAD came from CTMH June stamp set.  Twine is yellow and black from ctmh.

NEXT CARD AND LAST for FATHERS DAY!
Notice that Jayden wrote on the top of the card... TO DAD...  before I could take a picture...
Hope you like his card, he says!

The FATHERS DAY seasonal cartridge is perfect as dad just likes many of the items on this cool cartridge.  so we have an 81/2 x 11 card-stock folded in half and inked blue (like the sky, I am told) since Dad does these outside.
*  I embossed the life jacket with the Cracked Sizzix from Tim Holtz embossing folder. *The Golf handle is embossed with  the Herringbone  PC cuttlebug folder and Spots and Dots embossed folder on the golf ball.  Jayden insists this is what the golf ball looks like. the tee that the ball sits on was colored green since dad has some green ones.
*  the fish were cut out on grey ctmh cs on the Paper Dolls for Everyday cricut cartridge.
**  The sentiment inside is such a cute one that I have had for years. 2005 Stampin up.  I don't recall the set name except it came with a little girls and boy dressed up like mom & dad.
BATMAN CARTRIDGE
This is my project for today which isn't much BUT it's what my 7yr old wanted... his name .. just like that!  Cut out at 4in for each of the capes (which in #36 on the overlay) and is shown for a party decor BUT as we know.. there is no limitations to creativity  and the font is on the cartridge too and cut out at 1.5 each.  Colors are from the built in from the Imagine.  Threaded and hung on Blue twine from Ctmh.

some previous batman creations I have made for a birthday boy last year.   (HINT: The larger the cut the better to put it together for the characters!!)  ALL characters are cut at 6 or 7in.

details are awesome!

strips of black card stock & batman patterned paper, had in stash.  Batman font letters cut from cartridge;   misc stickers are on here too as well as some cricut cuts
It still hangs up in his room.   -  "HOLY BATMAN  IT"S MASON"S 5 BIRTHDAY

take a white sandwich bag ink it up with yellow ink and glue on bats for party bags - easy and cheap!

Who knew a door hanger could be turned into an invitation!!   FRONT & BACK.  It's a door hanger BUT an awesome invite that also fits in the invitation envelopes!  Cut out at 4in. The sentiment is from the cartridge too! I just typed up the invite details and cut to fit.

Please head on over to to continue on this fun day of creativity of my fellow DT sister...  JAMIE
