Happy Birthday Matey...

Stamp set for background stamping : Rusty Pickle Cap'n Jack Stamps

designed and cut from the Imagine  6in card with matching envelope printed out.

This was an invitation printed on front BUT with the change of the paper - it becomes a card  - and the happy birthday matey card  BUT because how small it came out and I was in a rush.. the envelope became the background (with the skulls) and the background behind the  HB matey WAS the card itself and this WAS printed out at 6in..
hmmm.. doesn't seem quite right there..  HB matey printed out at 1.5 and the boy (isn't he cute) at 2.5.  The bag of gold was cut at 1.5in. I inked around the edges with  and Holiday red & black Ctmh ink pads.

** the twine was than and then inked through the black ink to give it a old look and wrapped around the nice several times.

** Black ink was inked around the tan (which is a paper selection in this awesome cartridge.
Simple yet an awesome card for a birthday boy!

MORAL of this story...  never throw anything away - even mistakes of wrong size cutting can be used!

8 feb USE FEATURE TAG (dt)

I hope you came from Erica's craft room over at mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com
IF not, please head back over there when you are done visiting my blog to see what other creative tags and creative ideas they have for WYEGW (Would You Ever Guess Wednesday; which is taking a feature OTHER THAN the focused one on the page) from my Design Team friends
use any feature tag on any cartridge is what
I am showing you today...

** using the cartridges TIE THE KNOT and Imagine cartridge Blossom along with the cartridge Imagine Enjoy the Seasons     for the happy couple.

I picked the tag feature on page 57 and #34 on the overlay.
"I DO" is the feature on it.

I cut out on my Imagine 2 tags at 5. in using the colors with the Imagine cartridge Blossom.

*the bottom layer and the patterned paper (from the Imagine cartridge) is just an accent to give it some depth and color.

**The top layer which is a pretty white/yellow pattern.  I stamped on it using the stamp set-  Simple thoughts - Wedding by Cloud 9 Designs Focusing on the words "this is my promise not only on our wedding day but for each day that follows" I stamped in chocolate ink from ctmh.  I then used that same stamp set and randomly stamped on the card and used an image design to fill in.

Even thought I love to do random stamping for a background - still getting it perfected to making it look and feel more even..

II tore two layers of the tag to give it a softer look and inked all with the chocolate ink pad from CTMH.  Used icicle stickles to enhance her bow, cheeks.  and      distress stickles for his mustache and hat.
blue organdy ribbon is used on the top of the tag.
Please head back to mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com to be inspired by my fellow DT friends.

Please leave a comment and tell me what creativity you have created using the tag feature.
IF a new follower and signed up for my e-mails - let me know so I can come to your blog too!
