I love coffee, tea and hot cocoa - so what to make..  hmmm,,   Well today I made hot cocoa since my 7yr old loves it more :) I was thinking..  I can do this.... what do I think of when drinking.. sipping on a hot drink...   music; so hence the background for this yummy card!   enjoy!
 ...
Cricut Imagine; Imagine More on page 38 is the card  & the side border is on page 26 the one with music notes. (I separated them out and changed the color.  As you see the music notes is now the background paper music. The green frame is created using the install images on the Imagine and I just colored it green.       The coffee mugs are from Christmas Cheer and cut out at 2.5in.  using the paper colors from the Imagine More cartridge. The ribbon is a wire ribbon that was left over from a stash I have..  it's silver and was just perfect!!

MMMM....snow, music in the background and a good cup of hot cocoa with marshmallows. PERFECT!   I used the snow marker from Uchida and heat set.      the green paper is from the Imagine;  Imagine More

I was looking for a fun quote or even part of a song regarding cocoa and Christmas - nothing.. nada.. zip  so I went with something simple yet perfect since the font matched the paper.   Stamp set is from CTMH:    and stamped in chocolate ink from ctmh.
Please go on back to Erica's blog and check out the other cards.. Please leave a comment on all blogs!  Merry Christmas and have yourself some hot cocoa with marshmallows  YUMMY!!

13th Dec - 25 Days of Christmas - Penguins

I just think Penguins are so adorable..
Christmas Cheer is used for the penguin.  Slumber party is used for the popcorn!

Cutting the penguin at 5.35h using the Christmas Cheer cartridge and the popcorn cut at 1.82 h & 1.41w using the Slumber party cartridge.    I embossed the top half of the glittery paper from DCWV (winter stack pack) using the Cuttlebug embossing folder Snowflake.
All paper used is from DCWV Christmas packs of patterned paper  and then inked around the edge of card using the Cranberry ink pad from ctmh.
Feet embossed using the Swiss Dots folder and a lil white around the edges to give the appearance he was in snow.  Enjoy the delights of December  is from Ctmh D1179 Festive Thoughts.  Inside it says ... and the hope of the New Year.I tore the bottom of the sparkly paper!!

Do you see that he strung Popcorn.  I used the 1 1/16th hole punch in the popcorn to string onto the ribbon from ctmh - gold ribbon.    His hat is heat embossed using the Marvy Snow Marker paper & fabric embellishment and then heat set.   Using Peachy Keen Stamp - Winter faces PK 521 1 1/8  for his adorable face and then colored in using ctmh pencils red, orange and blue.  I embossed his tummy with Glossy Essentials
She will be having Blog candy but you must go to her site and see what is required!

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room

Merry Christmas!!  Hope your holiday planning is going well and you are being inspired by the many crafty ideas found at starting here at http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com  -

so define animal... -   this is my version of an "animal" (at least for today)  lol!!  Here we are on Day 9 already.. Can you believe it!!  Are you all pumped up to make Christmas cards or Home Decor, etc...  I am!!
WELL... Onto today's Animal card..

Cartridges used: Dinosaur - Create A Critter cut at 4.H ~  hat- Christmas Cheer  ~  scarf- Christmas Cards cut at 6.73h (just hid the hat) ~ Santa's list - Christmas Cheer.  I wrote on the list..

Bazzill paper  - solid c/s.  Inked on the yellow paper using chocolate ctmh ink pad (later referred to as chocolate ink) to give that old age look.

More directions as you look at the pictures.
Ribbon at the top is from American Crafts.  I just love googly eyes!  The red paper background is from the paper pack of DCWV.  have had it for years! ( picture at bottom of this post) BUT I then embossed it using the Christmas Countdown Cuttlebug embossing folder,  sanded lightly and inked over using chocolate ink,
nothing wrong with a lil bling for a boy dino!  perfect for his scarf!  which is from a stash of small but can't throw away scraps - perfect for his scarf!  then inked with chocolate ink.

Embossed dino using the Animal Prints Cuttlebug embosssing set (4 animal prints in this set) and then lightly sanded and then inked edges using chocolate ink (ctmh).  His HAT has red fluffies on the front using a RED puffy Velvet Fabric marker and then heat set.   The white ball is liquid Applique and white ctmh re-inker, mixed and set using a toothpick and again, heat set!

My 7yr old insists this is what a Dino boy would want!

"Dear Santa" is from the rub-on - Making Memories mini Christmas 2 set.  "i" is from making memories rub on alphabet and "Believe" is from The Paper Studio rub-on's.    My original thought was.. "Never to old to believe.."  BUT that didn't pan out..
This is the patterned paper used that I then embossed on using the Christmas countdown embossing folder
