30 May -Using Fibers

Using FIBERS is our creativity to share with YOU today!!

I hope you have come from Erica's cricut craft room at  mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com   IF not, thank you for coming here BUT I would LOVE it if you would go back here when done to see more creativity with Fibers OR the other feature today which is WYEGW using the Phrase feature.  (WYEGW is Would You Ever Guess Wednesday) using a feature OTHER than the main one you see..

This was FUN!!!   Creating a project using fibers was a challenge other than a "ribbon" style; at least for me.... After a while staring at the fibers - a light came on and well...

I found this awesome manequin on the cartridge Forever Young. Cut at 5.417h & 1.792w. using the Bubblegum Stripes Imagine cartridge for the fill of color on the manequin.    I cut it 2 times making the 2nd; using the bottom to be a solid color and the top part as a back drop to the top.  Using 3d  dots to give it the raised look.

(*** NOTE..  The colors of manequin "dress" and bottom of stand is supposed to be black BUT evidently I am almost out of black ink on my imagine and it came out grey..)

I used fibers from Ctmh Summer Celebrations Z468.  I wrapped the multitude of misc colors starting at the top like a shaw and then wrapping around the waist on down as a skirt of many colors.    Using a strand of silver cord from ctmh - I wrapped it 2x to give a little extra like a belt...

I used 2 colors of Liquid Pearls as buttons along the shaw and skirt.  Majestic Purple & Gold Pearl

Stamp sentiment is from Kandrewdesigns 'Fashionable Friends"  I used 2 sayings to create this sentiment.

Using Grey Wool ctmh  ink pad around the edges and the sentiment.
Tell me... What have you created using Fibers other than hanging on your card like ribbon???   Would love to know!
While Erica's Shop may not have Ctmh fibers - she has many other style fibers, these cartridges used today, Liquid Pearls and much much more...  at  http://www.shop.ericascraftroom.com/

3 May - National Day of Prayer...

                           NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER

I hope you have come from Erica's Cricut Craft Room over at mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com.  Today is Theme Thursday in which is today's card..

Today, no matter your faith is a day of ALL walks of faith to come together to PRAY...   and you too.. not only today, but everyday YOU to can pray to God or whatever God you worship.....  HE HEARS YOU!!

Using the Cricut Cartridge New Testament..  One of the awesome features is crosses.  I used the cross on the overlay #31 sized at 4.06h.  using scraps of silver paper I had. I cut the 3 crosses.

perfect stamp set is using K Andrews Scripture Sayings...   I chose 3 (really wanted to choose all of the 18 verses... but space allowed 3).  stamped on the same silver paper and torn and a little black ink around the edge to make it pop...

Purple paper in background - Majestic... is the Lord and purple come to mind...

using ctmh ribbon wrapped around the cross to give you a sense of his crown and that he DIED for you...  He is ready to hear your PRAYERS!!

I have to share with you.. the devil himself was messing with my camera when I was taking the pictures...  there are so many that either the crosses were blinded or the verses..  so please accept these pictures as these are the best that came out...

16 April Imagine day!

I would love it if you head back over to Erica's blog at mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com  after you
are done commenting on my blog today (please)  :)  YOU don't want to miss any of the Awesome Cricut Creativity from my fellow design Team Sisters!!

I so love my Imagine cartridges.  it is nice to know that you can get creative with a cartridge other than the "intended" title.. For instance. today, I have chosen NURSERY TAILS.  This tells you in general it's for babies.  BUT let me show you my card and this card is perfect for anyone... other than a baby...

** I just love my Liquid Pearls - Erica over at My Cricut Craft Room got me started on these beautiful lil bottles of creativity! you can find these at http://www.shop.ericascraftroom.com/  So easy to work with!  colors used on butterflies and under the stamped sentiment.   baby blue, buttercup & petal pink.

** Nursery Tails Imagine cartridge cutting the paper found on page 35 for the small frame for the Butterfly kisses cut out at 3.5 in.. found on page 21.

** blue paper is from my stash and I believe from Bazzills.

** the green ribbon is from Ribbon Doilies paper ribbon.  3 to a pack.  I chose the green.  Isn't is so pretty!!

** Stamped sentiment is from the awesome Kristal - kandrews designs.  Winged Things.  you  can go to her blog  to see this and more stamp sets!!

So do you agree with never judging a cartridge by it's title??  I hope you have seen that here today!

Please leave some love of comments today and tell me what other projects you have created using this cartridge..
I would love it if you head back over to mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com  to see MORE of my awesome design team sisters creativity and their projects today!

26 march - card day wth color scheme

I hope you came from Erica's blog  but if not, please head back over there to see more at mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com

Today is Sketch Day using the colors pastel green and pastel Yellow and 1 other color AND using the sketch seen here.

I was excited to remember the Cricut Cartridge 50 States as it has ALL the states flowers..   so using the flower for South Carolina on page 52 and #40 on the overlay. perfect for today as it has these pretty spring colors.  This flower is called Yellow Jessamine.  Flowers cut out at 1.24h and the little ones at 1in h.

purple was my 3rd choice for my colors as I used it as the base of my card and inked using Amethyst ink pad from ctmh.  paper chosen was Amethyst from ctmh.    I chose Buttercup (yellow) and Sweet leaf (green)  both from ctmh

I embossed the leaves using Forest Branches cuttlebug embossing folder.  AND for the flowers I used cuttlebug paper lace 2 flowers.  after embossing I ran a little sandpaper over it to expose the white underneath and then inked it a little using colors matching the papers.

when you are done putting the flower together you get a pretty 3d raised flower.

FRAME: is using Elegant Edges cricut cartridge and cutting out at 5.20w & 5.88w.  Inking the larger frame with buttercup ink pad from Ctmh.   ON the top frame I used Buttercup liquid pearls around some of the edges.
Ribbon is a light green organdy ribbon from Ctmh.

Stamp set sentiment is one of my favorites from Kristal Andrews called Scripture Sayings.  You can see and get this stamp set and more at www.kandrewdesigns.com.

Please leave some love and tell me what your favorite flower is...

USE A PHRASE feature .. on any cartridge

If you are just coming to say hi - thank you and I am glad you are here!!  BUT please head on over to mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com  to see more projects focusing on PHRASES and many will focus on Would You Ever Guess Wednesday (WYEGW) meaning they pick any feature on a cartridge OTHER THAN the main feature on that overlay pad key  My Design Team Sisters are very creative..

go on... stop on by and see...  you'll be glad you did!  AND while you are it - sign up and become a follower of Erica's Craft Room to never miss any creativity that we come up with just for you!

Today we are focusing on any PHRASE feature on any cartridge.  I choose the cartridge, AUTUMN CELEBRATIONS.  (I love this cartridge!!)

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS PHRASE and the ribbon on the same cartridge.

- stamp set for a random background is K Andrews Designs called Fashionable Friends. please go to www.kandrewdesigns.com if you would like this stamp set.  I used the words associated with our "friends".  INSIDE saying 'thanks for your support" is from the same set.

- Ctmh ink pads watermelon, bubblegum and pink carnation. for the random stamping and inking around the edges.  Paper is from Ctmh too.

-RIBBON: from Hobby Lobby called Cherish

Bling is from a misc package of misc pink bling  shades

Inside is the girl walking from Cricut cartridge Pink Journey (a cut I didn't use.. until now)  so never throw away unused cuts..  you never know......

I wanted a simple card to focus on the purpose of the card - THE PHRASE: BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

oops on the top where you can see a lil white..  I clipped a lil more than should..  sorry.

IT does look more focused on the actual card than looking all blended in like I am seeing here...

inside card  'Thanks for your Support"

You should have arrived from http://theglamoroussideofscrapping.blogspot.com  Ashley's AWESOME Blog

This is a long post so get a drink, relax and enjoy :)

I am so excited to be a Design Team Member over at Erica's Craft Room as today is my first official Blog Hop with the rest of my talented DT sisters :)

My cartridges I picked for Jan is: Feelin Groovy, Phrases, Robotz and Pink Journey.   There are 4 cards shown here today.

My FIRST card is one that many of us can relate to either as a supporter or as a fighter. I have a friend in church that is such a fighter, you would have never known she had stage 4 breast cancer when she found out and told us. She amazed so many in Chemo with her spirit and fight and even gave strength to those who like me saw what she was going through and I can only pray I have the same fight should I ever endure this fight too.   I saw her in this picture and purple is her favorite color. We walked with her many days and many nights.
PINK JOURNEY Cricut Cartridge was used for this card.  I also used the Imagine cartridge BLOSSOM for the colors of the girl and small tag.  Ribbon is from Wyla Inc..  **The awesome girl is cut out at 4.5inches.  The tag was cut out at 2 inches but torn here in the picture.  The image is also from the Pink Journey tag.  Paper background with words is from "Fighting back" from Gotmoxie.com FB-1119 Relay. Got it specifically for her!
Her ribbon bow is a cut leftover from the inside of the phrase below used.  I added some Glam Pink Stickles to her bow and a lil bling!

A JOURNEY OF A THOUSAND MILES BEGINS WITH A SINGLE STEP.   It looks darker in 'real time" sorry.  I added Glam Pink stickles to the ribbon which was cut out and torn at the top.   to tell the truth.. I messed up the other one which was smaller and looked nicer BUT I had this bigger one and decided to get a lil creative as time is not on my side..  I hope you like :)  3 little blings added just the perfect touch!stamp set saying is from SENTIMENT LIFE from Clear Stamps

My second project is 2 cartridges in one card...  Feelin Groovy Valentine...
**I used Feelin' Groovy and Phrases. and with this I used the Imagine cartridge... I love the colors of the "hippie" era,  I was in middle/High school when this phase was HOT...    I will give this card to a friend of mine, she loved the bright colors and glitz look"  :)
**The PHRASE cartridge is so awesome.. IF you are on the "line on whether to get it.. or not.. I would encourage you to do so..  Using it here for the word "feelin Groovy"
** ALL these awesome colors and designs are from the Imagine cartridge....
** I used the diamond Stickles to enhance her dress top and the bottom of her boots.  As you can see she has a belt on.. It is from the remnants of the ribbon on the card itself.. NEVER throw anything away.. LOL.  I also used the Diamond Stickles on all the dots on the green top layer paper.  Just a lil extra bling..
** "Valentine" phrase is from the CTMH set of Say it in Style D1283

the thread ribbon I used.  That's what happens when you purchase from "scrapbook sales" no name packages...

I used pop dots to hold down the "feelin Groovy"

My THIRD project is from Robotz.. SUCH an adorable cartridge!  Today, I have made a gift bag using a green bag wrinkled and then blue ink all over it. (btw.. this is a messy process!!)  I created the robot using #33 on the rubber thingy  I mean... overlay..
**The letters were cut at 1.5 and the robot cut at 4.5.  This robot had A LOT of pieces and like anything.. i had pieces left over..  oops.
**He is embossed on his hands, feet, tummy, and legs using the SPOTS and DOTS embossing folder from Cuttlebug.
**Bubblegum Stripes Imagine cartridge helped being this Robot to life with an outburst of colors!
**I made a small gift tag at 7.5 and embossed it with the Spots & Dots folder too and a little sand paper to give it a older look.
** a few more directions below pics.

ink your embossed folder on the side with the print (cuttlebug, etc..) . put your paper item in there and roll away.  When all done - just rinse off with water and let dry.
this is the effect the ink gives!

Gift tag embossed and held on by green twine from Ctmh..
Don't you just love my googly eyes! His tummy is embossed with the blue ink and then sandpapered to give it a awesome look.

I used just the B - day since most of his friends say this and thought - it fit better so why not..  :)

4th LAST but not least project is:  Home Decor.  My thoughts for this card is a kind of a.. thinking of you, your not alone type of a card.
All cuts from Home Decor. birds cut at 1.5in , the branches at 2.5in and the word "beautiful" is cut at 2in. Paper background is from  Me and MY Big Ideas Alison pack. pretty is it not...    Colors chosen for the bird, flowers and word are the colors on the Imagine machine pre-set.   Rhinestone for the birds eye and the flowers are from the ctmh set have had for years..  the heart from a set from a misc pkg I bought.    The stamp saying is from Kristal Andrews getting Cricky blog that she sells.  it is called Scripture Sayings

Please head over to  JANET BLOG  for MUCH MUCH more creativity and please go back to Http://MyCricutcraftroom.blogspot.com  to see yesterdays projects of so many awesome cricut cartridges!

** ALL colors on the project were created within the YUMMY cartridge.
** Stamp saying was using K. Andrews WINGED THINGS.  I just love this set!
** Pretty pink stick pin is from Close to My heart several years ago.
** the pink heart at the end of the stick pin is from a bowl of bling at my LSS and just glued on.
** I inked around the edges of nearly everything using chocolate and cranberry ink pad from CTMH.
** Stickles, diamond  has enhanced the icing on the cake and brushed corduroy distress stickles enhances the coffee aroma. (can you smell it....mmmm)

Creating with my Imagine only..  I used the cartridge.. Snow Angel.   along with some ribbon (gold & silver) from ctmh. on a green background card.  Stamp set is from K. Andrews; Winter Wishes.   ornaments cut out at 1.8in & The outer frame at 4.5in and the inner patterned frame cut out at 4.0in.

The fun part of this card is I did a lot of changing of the designs to create what you see here.
**In the snow angel booklet on page 32 the 2nd design (has a girl & boy holding a present with lots of swirls in different colors: for those who don't have an imagine) I changed this to create the color of the background paper  and then again at a smaller size and changed to pattern paper..  ( I SO LOVE MY IMAGINE).  I also changed a little color on the ornaments.

I inked around the edges using ctmh ink pad; Sorbet.   The bling - you can buy in a bag from Walmart
