Today I bring you Snapshot; Everyday Imagine cartridge  - it has paper choices of so many items that you might see in your daily life....
-I made it into a valentine card..loving the colors - so vibrant and trying to think of a card that was fun.. THIS was perfect!

** Snapshot Everyday imagine cartridge -  crayon paper cut out at 4 in.  I used the shape for the saying within the Imagine and just left it on white paper.

** Stamp set is from Close to My Heart D1348  for the "You Color My World" & Stamp Set Ctmh D1269 Feb word Puzzle for the word "Valentine"

**  Light Pink ribbon was in my stash as well as the red heart brad which is through the tied knot.

** all the different colors within the sentiment is so much fun..  I have a Color Box petal point pad...  Arboretum.  I just moved the stamp set among with different colors and stamped onto the white paper frame.

Please leave a comment and tell me if you like to make more SERIOUS or FUNNY valentine cards and why...

PICTURE IT PERFECT blog hop 28 jan 2012

SO.. I bet your wondering how this name and thought came about..  During the 13 days of Halloween I was participating in - Gill had this awesome card with a picture..  It gave ME a thought..  hmm.. a blog hop showing a PICTURE from either one you took OR from a magazine and create a project from that.  I talked to Gill and since my experience with starting hops (on FB) was zilch - she and I are co-hosting this hop.  Thanks Gill for teaching me about getting a hop together.. :) (I still have lots to learn..lol)  SO I thank you for coming by.

YOU should have come from  GILL's BLOG  If here by chance, thank you.  BUT please start back at Gill's   -don't want you to miss any awesome projects!

Onto my project for today.. What could I do - so many ideas came to mind.. Here is my first thought..
an invitation...  I have my son, Jayden who will be 8 this year under water and he loves pool parties and again..  we will have yet another pool party. I am making them ahead of time so that his friends from school can come (no excuses this year..)

I used a 4x6 pic from last year summer pool time. I used a underwater camera from Wal-mart.  I used Rub-On's from American Crafts called Jack.   This will be the front of the invitation.
the back of the invitation is..
all pre- cut and created and ready to be put together.

FRONT of invite~  This is my Jayden from last years pool days.  and this years INVITE  lol!!

this is a closer look to the picture invite I added the cut WATER FUN  at 1 in from the cartridge H 2 0 - these are 2 most used cartridges for summer!

back of the 4x6 picture. I used ctmh ink pad moonstruck BUT for the rest of the invites I will be using blue Stazon as when you STILL touch the back it is still inky.   **  I cut the wave and the beach balls from the cartridge Life is A  Beach. Wave cut at 1.4in and the balls at 1in in the Imagine and using the built in colors.   ** I typed up the format of the invitation on my computer and then inked the edges with ctmh crystal Blue ink and tore the bottom.
I hope you like my Picture Perfect invitation for today!!

Please visit  LINDA and see what awesome picture taking project she created!!

Thanks to Linda Scott on over at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CricutCheatSheet/   She got me started on printing them out by alpha (ex: looking for a heart... look under HEART and you would see all the cartridges that had hearts)  Weeeelll...  this list has grown from 35 pages to 140 pages and there are so many many files of information regarding the cricut cartridges!

SO.. What I have done is..  go under the master sheets under by cartridges.. and print out a sheet for me to keep next to my cartridge I own...  I add on the top under cartridge what functions the cartridge has. Here is an example:
IF you would like this and more of these.. here is a way to get them.  GO to the link I have at the top..
**  http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CricutCheatSheet/
** either register in her site OR sign in.
** click on LINK
** click on FILES
there is TONS of info on this page.  click on the different links to see all kinds of valuable info that Linda has put together over the years)
** MY files are under  DORIS PARKER SHEETS

I don't have them all done but I will continue getting them together.  I am basically doing the ones I have first and then will do the other ones.

JUST to add..  I print off my cricut cartridge sheets from cricut.com  under INFORMATION then under LIBRARY.

let me know if you are printing these off and find them useful..

24 Jan Get Well card dt

Today our MY Cricut Craft Room Design Team is on a mission to make others feel better by making
Get Well cards.
So please when you are done browsing my card and making a comment (hint hint) :)  Please go back to mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com and be inspired by my fellow DT sisters and their creativity!!

Perhaps, this card may be kinda 'weird" in a way of a get well card..   BUT when I saw the phrase.. and then that guy.. (minus the bottle) I know someone who felt like that..  LOL

so I hope you find the humor in my card!
Using buccaneer Imagine Cartridge.. this was all designed on the Imagine as well.   The black paper behind is cricut 12x24 paper left over scraps.

the sentiment and the one below is from Stampin Up from the early tom mid 2000's

Letter D bring today the Cricut cartridge..

Dinosaur Tracks...  what a cute cartridge for the old and young alike....

** stamp saying  - Cloud Nine designs; simple thoughts - happy birthday.
**Mountains created at 1.5 in (there are different layers) I cut the same layer out  few times and layered them to give it the effect of a BIG mountain.
** the T-Rex (#1 on overlay) cut out at 2in.
** the twine is from Ctmh as well as the ink that is inked on here through the dino and the paper itself
** embossed using the bird Call from cuttlebug for the background  I wanted the feel of the leaves, twigs etc.. that I imagined would be.
** Dino has a cute googly eye and is embossed using Burlap from Sizzix tim holtz.

This is a tag on #1 overlay "TAG  Function and just inked with chocolate ink and given a special eye.

Here is a card I made a while ago that I wanted to show you since I bet no one has ever seen him.. Still with the LETTER D  -Dinosaur.  I had in mind for an older person for this card.
I loved creating this dinosaur from Create a Critter cut at 2.80w & 2.68 h.
.  Other items used:  *Gypsy wanderings used for the frame that Dino sits on and then embossed using the Cracked embossing folder from Tim Holtz from Sizzix.
** Cuttlebug set of Animal prints was used to emboss the tail and the top body of the dinosaur.  I used peachy Keen stamps from critter faces set A med.
** I also used cardstock from Ctmh: kiwi (deleted now) , orange and clover meadow.  Bamboo Ink from ctmh used on the edging of card.  I love inking around edges!!
** the twine is also from CTMH
** oops.. fogot which cartridge the leaves came from..  My gypsy is not near me (how dare I .. lol)
**  The saying on the outside of the card is one my hubby thought of when I told him I was making a birthday card..  Cute huh!!
** the inside of the card saying is from CTMH D1111 card sentiments.
I hope you have enjoyed this card.

Inside of the card said -      "You're not getting older...  You're getting better".

I also used a dinosaur from the 25 days of Christmas -  Day 9 CLICK HERE   if you'd like to see another example of a dinosaur but he too is from Create a Critter.
