SO.. I bet your wondering how this name and thought came about.. During the 13 days of Halloween I was participating in - Gill had this awesome card with a picture.. It gave ME a thought.. hmm.. a blog hop showing a PICTURE from either one you took OR from a magazine and create a project from that. I talked to Gill and since my experience with starting hops (on FB) was zilch - she and I are co-hosting this hop. Thanks Gill for teaching me about getting a hop together.. :) (I still have lots to learn..lol) SO I thank you for coming by.
YOU should have come from GILL's BLOG If here by chance, thank you. BUT please start back at Gill's -don't want you to miss any awesome projects!

Onto my project for today.. What could I do - so many ideas came to mind.. Here is my first thought..
an invitation... I have my son, Jayden who will be 8 this year under water and he loves pool parties and again.. we will have yet another pool party. I am making them ahead of time so that his friends from school can come (no excuses this year..)
I used a 4x6 pic from last year summer pool time. I used a underwater camera from Wal-mart. I used Rub-On's from American Crafts called Jack. This will be the front of the invitation.
the back of the invitation is..
all pre- cut and created and ready to be put together. |
FRONT of invite~ This is my Jayden from last years pool days. and this years INVITE lol!! |
this is a closer look to the picture invite I added the cut WATER FUN at 1 in from the cartridge H 2 0 - these are 2 most used cartridges for summer! |
Please visit LINDA and see what awesome picture taking project she created!!
Thank you for hosting the blog hop, I love the novel idea of using a picture from last year to create your sons party invitations. Brilliant idea.

Very creative and cool idea. I just love the way the photo came out. Blessing, Linda
ReplyDeleteLove the invitation. That's a very cute picture. I use pictures and designs from my scrapbook factory program to create invitations and then print them as pictures then jazz them up with scrapbooking techniques to get a true original unique invitation. The best part having an invite with a picture is it may just end up in someone's scrapbook. Happy Scrappin.
